A pregneancy exercise class
  • Keep fit and healthy in pregnancy
  • Improve posture, core support and strength as your body changes
  • Ease pregnancy-related low back and pelvic girdle pain
  • Prepare for labour and motherhood

Your body goes through many changes in pregnancy. Your posture and shape changes are obvious. But there are other, less obvious changes to your cardiovascular system, joints and elsewhere that can make exercise feel different during pregnancy.

Regular exercise is recommended in pregnancy to keep you and your baby healthy. But how do you know you are exercising safely?

Our Pregnancy Exercise Classes are designed by a Women’s Health Physiotherapist who understands how your body is changing during pregnancy. These classes will help your body prepare and adapt to these changes. Classes use a combination of Pilates-informed exercise, mobility and strength training to work all the areas you need in the right way.

Pregnancy Exercise Classes at Life Cycle Physiotherapy are:

  • Gentle to intermediate level exercises
  • Focussed on posture, core control, mobility and strengthening
  • Easily modified for individuals – including those with low back or pelvic girdle pain
  • Run by a Women’s Health Physio – health fund rebates claimable
  • Conveniently located in the CBD
  • Evening classes – perfect for straight after work

How do I book?

Book your Pre-Class Assessment – this 30 minute screening assessment with a Women’s Health Physio allows us to check if you have any particular problems, and run through pregnancy exercise guidelines. It’s important you know you are safe to exercise in pregnancy. Before commencing we will ask you to complete our Pregnancy Medical Checklist. In some cases, medical clearance may be required from your Obstetrician, GP or Midwife.
